Padenghe<\/strong> del Garda is one of the municipalities of\u00a0Valtenesi<\/em><\/a>, <\/span><\/h4>\n
enjoys a mild climate and is known for its wine, the beaches, the castle and the green hills of the hinterland. Padenghe has ancient origins in the Roman period, and certainly this was municipality resting place of the patrician families here in the III and IV century built large villas and temples, was also a commercial port with <\/span>Peschiera<\/em><\/span> and <\/span>Riva del Garda<\/em><\/span>. <\/span>To visit <\/span>castello<\/em><\/span>, the romanic <\/span>chiesa di Sant\u2019Emiliano<\/em><\/span>, the parish church of Santa Margherita<\/em> and the castle Drugolo<\/em>, private property is then passed under the town of Lonato.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Padenghe<\/strong> is nestled in the green hills of Valtenesi<\/strong><\/em>, its territory in part overlook the lake with beautiful beaches and its inland consists of hills where, thanks to its mild climate all year round, is the area of \u200b\u200bproduction of excellent wine as the Garda Classico DOC<\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

HISTORY<\/strong> OF PADENGHE DEL GARDA<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Padenghe was already inhabited in prehistoric times, but the first settlement began under the rule of the Romans. Around the church of San Cassiano<\/em> began to extend the village that was later abandoned due to Hungarian raids which forced the population to take refuge in the hills, where he built the castle over the years became a Ghibelline fortress contention between Brescia and Verona. Contention that last long between Scala<\/em> and Giovanni of Bohemia, son of Henry VII, who took turns in driving the castle until the second half of 1300, when Padenghe along with other towns of the lake asked for the autonomy. In 1509 the governor Leonino Bibbia<\/em> ordered the destruction of the castle, which was not for the intervention of Cardinal D’Amboise<\/em>. In Padenghewere illustrious names of history including Gianbattista Rodella<\/em> and the Jesuit painter Giovanni Andrea Bertanza<\/em> and always Padenghe Tito Speri<\/em> volunteers captured the Austrian general Schonhals fleeing uprisings in Brescia.<\/p>\n
