{"id":17455,"date":"2014-09-07T11:32:18","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T09:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/chiesa-di-san-martino-2\/"},"modified":"2018-04-27T08:00:28","modified_gmt":"2018-04-27T06:00:28","slug":"church-of-san-martino-arco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/church-of-san-martino-arco\/","title":{"rendered":"Church of San Martino"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The <strong>church of San Martino<\/strong> is located in a position where it dominates the Sarca valley, was built prior to the current town to serve the country Preole, which no longer exists.<\/h4>\n<div>Church of San Martino originally it was much reduced in size and the current was connected to a monastery of Benedictine monks since the ninth century. Is restored and enlarged in the sixteenth century and subsequently treated by the inhabitants, and only towards the end of &#8216;nineteenth century are discovered and brought to light the frescoes of the fourteenth century. These, attributed to the school of Bonanno Riva, playing a &#8220;last dinner&#8221; and various saints and Madonnas with child.
