{"id":17559,"date":"2014-09-07T11:33:17","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T09:33:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/chiesa-di-san-valentino-2\/"},"modified":"2018-12-05T16:56:21","modified_gmt":"2018-12-05T15:56:21","slug":"church-san-valentino-bussolengo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/church-san-valentino-bussolengo\/","title":{"rendered":"Church San Valentino"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Church San Valentino it is located in the center of Bussolengo, its origins date back to the twelfth century<\/h4>\n<div>The Church San Valentino it was mentioned for the first time in a document which says that in April 1339 Bishop Gilberto di Tiberiade reconsecrates it after a period of raids by soldiers fighting against the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/scaliger-della-scala-verona\/\">Scaligeri<\/a>. In 1391 Giacomo de &#8216;Rossi, bishop of Verona, gave it to the Disciplini to restore it and found a hospital for pilgrims in some rooms attached to the church. The church is known for its valuable fifteenth-century frescoes, both inside and outside the building, which tell the story of Valentine&#8217;s Day; on the east side is the fresco of a 16th century Crucifixion.
