{"id":17973,"date":"2014-09-07T11:37:05","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T09:37:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/chiesa-di-s-andrea-2\/"},"modified":"2018-11-16T21:55:18","modified_gmt":"2018-11-16T20:55:18","slug":"church-s-andrea-apostolo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/church-s-andrea-apostolo\/","title":{"rendered":"Church S.Andrea Apostolo"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The Church S.Andrea is located in the village of Sandr\u00e0 north of the town of Castelnuovo, originally of early medieval origins.<\/h4>\n<p>Church S.Andrea Apostolo Apostolo It was erected on the basis of two other buildings, one from the early Middle Ages and the other from the twelfth century: there are written records of the first building dating back to the mid-ninth century, but thanks to some fragments of the Lombard tabernacle, its existence can already be hypothesized as early as the eighth century; during the twelfth century the church was rebuilt in Romanesque forms. The current church was built between 1753 and 1770 to a design by the architect Adriano Cristofali in a neoclassical style; the building has a single-nave plan with a quadrangular raised presbytery and a semicircular apse.
