The Roman furnaces are located on the road that leads from Lonato to Castiglione delle Siviere, in the area south of the village, in the locality “Fornace dei Gorghi”.<\/h4>\n

Roman furnaces of Lonato are a recent discovery, they are part of a group of six furnaces of a craft area for the production of building bricks and the raw materials for centuries were water, clay and wood; the size of the site suggests an important production, so much so that, in the area, there was a furnace since the fifteenth century. One of them has a circular plan, has been restored and open to the public.<\/p>\n
