The castel is appointed for the first time in a document written in 1210 , in a peace agreement between the bishop Federico Vanga and accounts of Arc<\/h4>\n

Penede Castle history is full of ups and downs, changes of ownership , fires and reconstructions who begin as early as the middle of the thirteenth century, this signifying the importance of the position in which it was built . The building was of considerable size and occupied an area of about 3500 square meters, was established by the castle on rock ledge and a series of towers and fortifications spread over a vast territory surrounding who came to Torbole . The motivation of such a fortification lies in the fact that when these territories were part of the empire of Austria and then were borderlands . There is a plan of the castle dates back to 1615 , contained in the Code Enipontano , which describes how the artifact composed of a group of buildings surrounded by thick walls with a single access controlled by a drawbridge and a series of outer walls with towers and walkways , inside there was the workshop of the blacksmith, the mill , the church, the bakery, the weapon rooms , carpentry and various other local independent to make the place . The history of the castle Penede ends in 1730 when the French general Vendome , to capture the imperial colonel Fresen , storm the castle , the fire and blows up with mines .
