{"id":18349,"date":"2014-09-07T11:40:36","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T09:40:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/telegrafo-ottico-2\/"},"modified":"2018-10-26T21:29:52","modified_gmt":"2018-10-26T19:29:52","slug":"optical-telegraph-pastrengo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/optical-telegraph-pastrengo\/","title":{"rendered":"Optical Telegraph"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The optical Telegraph of Pastrengo is the work of the Austrians who built it in 1865, this Telegraph Station located on the hill of San Martino<\/h4>\n<p>Optical Telegraph in Pastrengo is connected to that of Verona and with the telegraph transmitter on Monte Baldo, which is in turn connected to Malcesine and Borghetto in Val d&#8217;Adige; so that all the positions of the Quadrilateral were connected to each other. The building has a hexagonal plan with each side of width mt. 12 and 8.5 meters high, is characterized by four portholes oriented to the receiving stations; different was the method of communication depending on the moment, night or day.
