<\/p>\nChurch San Rocco is a medieval building, probably between the XIII and the XIV century, but modified in time, the entrance portal is believed to be of the 15th century, while in the sacristy area you can see parts of the building probably Part of a previous construction. In the past, the church was at the center of controversy between various confraternities. From 1637 it was the seat of the “Brotherhood of the Blacks”, preceded by the “The Society of the Discipline of San Rocco” in the 15th century. It is a modest building, with no particular artistic elements except a 15th century gate and the belfry of the bell tower, very old. The interior of the building, in the past, was often flooded by the slopes of Adige. On the access portal you can still notice some longitudinal grooves for laying parasols, as defensive from the floods of the river. A recent renovation brought to light, in the apse, the medieval foundations of a primitive chapel and removed the two columns that supported the meeting room. There is a unique marble altar with a niche for the statue of San Rocco, separated from the rest of the Church by a small marble balustrade.<\/p>\n
