{"id":18431,"date":"2014-09-07T11:41:22","date_gmt":"2014-09-07T09:41:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/chiesa-di-s-michele-4\/"},"modified":"2018-02-25T18:38:42","modified_gmt":"2018-02-25T17:38:42","slug":"church-s-michele-riva","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/church-s-michele-riva\/","title":{"rendered":"Church S.Michele"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Original building of 1159 rebuilt in 1540 immediately outside the walls of the center of the town of Riva del Garda<\/h4>\n<p>Church S.Michele is a small building also called the church of the Garibaldini, is perhaps the oldest in the country and housed the old cemetery. Outside there is a small circular apse, while inside there are some beautiful Baroque altars. In the garden surrounding the church there is a memorial stone that recalls the old city cemetery and a gravestone recalls instead seven fallen of the French Corps of the Longhena column of 1848; there is also a monument to the fallen of the Alpini in 1558.
