<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Spluga della Preta is one of the most famous karst chasms in the world, it is a cave deep inside the Horn of Aquila, in the pastures of the Monti Veronesi Lessinian, in the municipality of Sant’Anna d’Alfaedo. The most fascinating aspect of Spluga Preta is that since 1910 (the date on which for the first time it is mentioned in writing) to date has not yet managed to find out where it ends. His exploration started in 1925, generations of cavers have tried to chase the air currents that may flow to the Val d’Adige, but for the moment only the bats know the way to the light of the exterior; we tried to explain the formation and there are many theories of the geologists. The Spluga Preta has been the subject of careful geological studies and there have been many theories that have tried to explain the formation of this huge karst cave, which has created huge gaps inside the mountain. A short distance from Spluga Preta was built in 1968, a church dedicated to St. Benedict, patron of the cavers, in honor of all the victims of caving and especially Marisa Bubble died during an expedition into the cavity July 2, 1964. The church was later rebuilt in 1984 due to a lightning strike that destroyed the bell tower and coverage.<\/p>\n
