{"id":22071,"date":"2014-09-08T09:15:05","date_gmt":"2014-09-08T07:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/chiesa-di-san-zeno-20\/"},"modified":"2014-09-08T09:15:05","modified_gmt":"2014-09-08T07:15:05","slug":"chiesa-di-san-zeno-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gardatourism.it\/en\/chiesa-di-san-zeno-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Chiesa di San Zeno"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The church dedicated to St. Zeno is located north-west of the country, surrounded by cypress trees of the hill Poia.<br \/>\nThe property has its origin probably in early 11, while the first written documents testify that from 135 it was used as an oratory.<br \/>\nThe church is small, has a rectangular plan and a single nave; its bell tower has four mullioned windows through which you can still see the old bell.<br \/>\nThe interior is embellished with frescoes on the walls, between which is depicted a Bishop Saint, perhaps Saint Zeno and St. George on horseback in the act of hitting a dragon.
