The old parish church of St. George finds its origin already in ‘ the eighth century , when it is built as a pagan building . Today it is one of the finest examples of Roman architecture in the province of Verona. During the Middle Ages the church served as a reference to one of the three administrative districts in which the territory was divided della Valpolicella and was also home to a choir juniorum , as evidenced by the current small rectory.
