The Hermitage is situated on a hillside Stivo, originally built in the Middle Ages by the inhabitants to prevent the looting of the barbarians, it is already in a document dated 1288, in the sixteenth century was restored fully.

Hermitage Saints Giacomo and Silvestro a Monte building is of simple construction, rectangular in plan, a ‘single nave and a wooden roof; frescoes in the presbytery are the Evangelists, a crucifixion and many saints on the other walls of the cross scenes and portraits of S. James and S. Philip. The Hermitage, adjoining the church, is of significant size, has a kitchen, a dining room and a stone staircase leading to the upper floors and communicates with the church. The church and the ‘hermitage are the property of the parish of’ Sorrows of Bolognano.
