Lake Ampola is located at the top of Ledro Valley, on the road that leads to Storo from Tiarno di Sopra, just outside the town
Lake Ampola is one of the areas that the Autonomous Province of Trento and environmental protection as a nature reserve since it is maintained in the natural state, both as a flora that as wildlife. The lake is still surrounded by native vegetation that protects the life of the animal species that live there, mostly birds, reptiles and insects. To see the nature of the lake we walk on a catwalk, suspended over the water, allows the visitor to observe closely the intact vegetation of the lake, such as orchids, It is impossible to approach the lake by land since the its banks are not practical.
