Porta Bruciata (Burnt gateway)

at Riva del Garda on the western side of the ancient medieval walls of the fortified city

Porta Bruciata of Riva del Garda was the passage in the medieval walls of the fortified city between Piazza San Rocco and the current square III Novembre, later incorporated in 1475 into the building that joins the Pretorio Palace at the Palazzo Municipale. In the mid-nineteenth century, Luigi Antonio Baruffaldi made it restored by keeping the medieval structure in the lower part and opening the windows in the upper part. The name calls for a fire, but there is no news.
