  • Buildings, monuments and squares
Rovereto
via Miravalle - 38068 Rovereto (TN)

Baptized with the name of “Maria Dolens” in 1925, it was conceived by the priest Don Antonio Rossaro in honor of all the fallen of all wars

Bell of Fallen it was first merged in 1924 in Trento using the bronze of the First World War guns offered by the participating nations; but not having the desired sound, it was merged a second time in Verona in 1939 to be repositioned the following year. At the end of August of 1960 the bell stopped ringing because of a crack, it is thus merged again in the Capanni foundries in Castelnovo NĂ© Monti in the province of Reggio Emilia. In 1965 it was blessed in Rome by Pope Paul VI and then brought to Rovereto on the Miravalle hill. The bell rings every evening.
