Chiesa di San Benedetto

The Church of St. Benedict, the parish church of Limone sul Garda, stood on the ruins of an ancient Romanesque church, probably dating back to before the ‘eleventh century. It was rebuilt to a design by Andrea Partridge in 1691. Inside are preserved several works of art worthy of importance, including the Deposition of Baptist Corner said the Moor in 1547 and two large canvases: The Supper at the House of Simon the Pharisee and The Adoration of the Magi Andrea Celestial. You notice the Baroque style in the interior, as in the altar of the Crucifix in yellow marble from Verona, the altar of S. Antonio has an altarpiece by Antonio Moro, a painter and portraitist of Limone.
