Pastrengo
SP27A , via G.Marconi, loc.Campara - 37010 Piovezzano di Pastrengo (VR)

The complex is located just outside the village of Piovezzano, in Campara locality

Corte Campara was the holiday resort of the noble Nogarola-Maffei but then, in a state of neglect due to wars, it became a military stop. The name Campara would originate from the Roman campus, a place of encampment of the armies, also confirmed by the use made of it during the Serenissima, which destined it as the only stopping point for the Austrian troops moving from Veneto to Lombardy. It is currently preserved as a farmhouse, with characteristic internal architecture dating back to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and an imposing entrance portal. The complex is articulated on three sides around a large courtyard, the open side is towards the east, then towards the Adige and the Valpolicella; the entrance portal in rusticated, which recalls the style of Sanmicheli.
