MART Modern & Contemporary Art Museum
MART Modern & Contemporary Art Museum is the largest museum built in Italy and opened in 2002, consists of a square covered by a huge glass dome which can be accessed passing through eighteenth-century palaces, Palazzo Alberti and Palazzo dell’Annona, inside there is also the civic library and the auditorium.
The MART is a museum made up of several sites, including the Galleria Civica di Trento, the Depero Futuristic House of Art in Rovereto.
Inside the museum houses mainly modern and contemporary art, its collection includes more than fifteen thousand works including drawings, paintings, engravings and sculptures by great artists such as Morandi, de Chirico, Carrà, Depero.
