Desenzano del Garda
piazza Giuseppe Malvezzi, 25015 Desenzano del Garda Bs

title=Square Giuseppe Malvezzi is the main square of Desenzano, its creation dates back to the sixteenth century, the designs of Giulio Todeschini, when the country was under the control of the Venetian Republic, and was the most important market for grain in northern Italy.

Square Giuseppe Malvezzi, here came the grain from areas of Mantua, Cremona and Ferrara, were crammed in the stores that were under the arcades, then sold to the market and transported by water in the various centers of the lake and Trentino. The feature of the square is the one of the arched porticos that surround various built with blocks of white stone and ashlar topped by large terraces facing onto the square, heading towards the old harbor area is a statue of the patron saint of the country S.Angela Merici (XV-XVI sec.), while close is the cathedral with its bell tower with the original watch. Now remains the hub of the country, with its many businesses and with its constant flow of people.
