Church San Rocco

in the heart of Villafranca di Verona

Church San Rocco; there is no certain date of its construction, it is assumed that the late 15th century and the first decade of the sixteenth century by the population as a vote for the plague epidemic that broke out in 1511; it is mentioned only in a document of the visit of the Vicar of Bishop Matteo Giberti in 1525 and also in that of the next visit in 1532, in which it is also inserted that it was partially decorated and owned by the Commune and the population. The building has a single long double facade dome, interesting interior and exterior decorations, first made by painters in the Domenico Morone school, and the latter are from the early 16th century by artists from a Veronese workshop.
