Villa Bernini, together with Villa Pergolana, is one of the most important, characterized by the battlements on the part of a lake building. An important part of the villa is its large nineteenth-century romantic garden, created by Gian Battista Buri, son of Count Giovanni Danese Buri, connoisseur of botany and architecture of the gardens. In 1871 Gian Battista bought the castle and renovated the villa, completing them with the large garden. With the demolition of part of the walls and towers of the castle was created the promontory called the mara and almost completely buried the military dock.
