
Among the typical wines of Garda, wine Lugana is one of the most popular. Characteristic of this wine doc are the land and the climate. A flat and fertile land, rich in limestone, minerals, clay originates from the layered deposits and moraine hills that points becomes more sandy, a particularly mild microclimate, with no sudden changes in temperature and regulated by the breezes of the lake. The wine Lugana is divided into five categories: “basic”, “top”, “reserve“, “late harvest“, “sparkling”.
Lugana Base: is the majority of the production
Lugana Superior: must have at least one year after the harvest of aging, it becomes more structured with the wooden walkway.
Lugana Reserve: must have at least twenty four months of aging or aging of the date of harvest, of which six in the bottle.
Late Harvest: you get only with a late harvest of the grapes in late October and early November, is a new type of production.
Spumante is the classical method charmat with a production that boasts both quality and history, but poor in quantity.
